At Suffolk University, we're committed to ensuring the ethical and responsible conduct of research. Our toll-free Research Compliance Hotline is designed to answer questions you may have about your rights as a research participant.

You can also call to express concerns about research possibly not being conducted in accordance with University policies, external sponsor requirements, or federal and state regulations.Such research activities might include:

  • Research misconduct
  • Violation of human subjects' protections
  • A breach of confidentiality related to research data or protected health information
  • Research-related conflicts of interest

Individuals may report any suspected violation anonymously. You can leave a message on the hotline's voicemail or choose to speak directly to a member of the Research Compliance staff during regular office hours. Every report will be acted on in a confidential manner, with notification to other appropriate individuals made on a need-to-know basis. If you desire anonymity, we will protect to the extent possible by law and by University regulations. You can also email your concerns.
