The PILOT Roadmap

PILOT is designed to enhance Suffolk’s mission of providing accessible, forward-looking educational opportunities to Suffolk students and all lifelong learners. We will post information about PILOT initiatives as they are launched.

PILOT is always looking for innovative new ideas, and we encourage all members of our community to propose possible initiatives. Successful initiatives will typically fall into one of three categories:

Interdisciplinary academic programs (degree-granting and otherwise) that draw on the expertise of multiple schools at Suffolk and that are intended to serve new students and prepare them for professional success.

Programs with other educational institutions that expand the opportunities available to Suffolk students.

Partnerships with other entities (businesses, nonprofits, government agencies, etc.) on custom educational solutions for workforce upskilling.

Program Spotlight

Suffolk-SANS.edu Cybersecurity Certification

The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics predicts a 33% increase in information security analyst jobs by 2033. In response to this staggering demand, PILOT created the Suffolk–SANS.edu Cybersecurity Certification Program, giving Suffolk students a powerful head start in the lucrative field of cybersecurity.

Through our exclusive partnership with the SANS Technology Institute, students can earn an Applied Cybersecurity Certificate (ACS) while pursuing an undergraduate education in computer science or cybersecurity—at no additional cost. It’s a one-of-a-kind opportunity for our students to graduate with a bachelor’s degree and professional credential that employers across sectors recognize and highly value.
