Students pursuing a computer science major in the College of Arts & Sciences or a cybersecurity minor in the Sawyer Business School can enter the program starting their junior year. Only students who receive department approval and pass the SANS.edu assessment exam are eligible to participate.

Four Industry Certifications in One

SANS Technology Institute’s ASC certificate program is comprised of four Global Information Assurance Certifications (GIAC), the highest standard of assurance for cybersecurity knowledge and skill worldwide. GIAC certifications are widely recognized and sought after by employers in government, military, consulting, and more.

To complete the program, you’ll take three required online courses—Security Foundations, Security Essentials, and Security Incident Handling & Hacker Exploits—and one elective concurrent to your Suffolk course load. Successful completion of each SANS.edu course culminates in a GIAC certificate and builds toward the comprehensive ASC certificate.
