Merit Calculator

Suffolk University seeks to enroll students with a history of academic success. Merit awards are available to both freshmen and transfer students, helping to make a Suffolk education more affordable. Our Merit Calculator is designed to assist undergraduate students and their families with an early estimate of the amount of merit scholarship aid they may receive at Suffolk University.

Merit scholarships for the 2024-2025 academic year range between $5,000 and $25,000 for new students who are admitted to an undergraduate degree program.

These scholarships can be renewed for up to four years and are available regardless of income. Students will need to provide current GPA information in order to receive a merit scholarship estimate. Students who cannot provide a GPA should contact the Undergraduate Admission Office for more information about merit scholarship criteria. Since Suffolk University has implemented a test optional policy for most applicants, standardized test scores are not required to complete the calculator. A Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is also not required to be considered for merit scholarships. A determination of your eligibility for merit assistance will be made at the time of admission to the University.

The merit scholarship amounts currently available from the Merit Calculator reflect Fall 2024 awards. Updates to reflect Fall 2025 scholarships will be made in the Summer of 2025. If you have questions on merit scholarships, please don't hesitate to contact our Undergraduate Admission Office.
