Study Abroad
Students electing to participate in a study abroad program should be aware there may be additional costs associated with studying abroad. It is most important to resolve financial issues prior to leaving the country.
If a student is receiving aid, that funding (with the exception of employment) can normally be used for a University-affiliated study abroad program. Non-affiliated programs are not eligible for institutional forms of financial aid. Federal and state programs may be available, but require additional paperwork for a non-affiliated program. Please contact the Office of Student Financial Services for more information.
Although you are involved in a study abroad program, you should still be aware of all financial aid deadlines and do your best to meet them. Reminders and important information will be sent via the Suffolk email so it is important to monitor it regularly.
