Cost of Attendance
Your COA is not the actual price you will pay, rather it is an estimate of costs associated with attending Suffolk University for the academic year, fall and spring, based on full time enrollment.
Estimated costs are tailored to each student based on several factors including academic level, academic program and housing plans. While the cost of attendance provides an estimate of the expenses for one year, it is also used to determine each student's eligibility for financial aid, such as grants and loans.
There are two categories of costs used when creating the cost of attendance: Direct Costs and Indirect Costs.
- Direct costs are items that will appear on your University tuition bill, such as tuition, fees and room and board (if you live on campus).
- Indirect costs including books, supplies, transportation and miscellaneous will not appear on your University tuition bill but are reasonable estimates of what you might expect to spend for one academic year at Suffolk University.
Be sure to consider all costs, both direct and indirect, when making your financial plan. All costs shown are estimates. Your actual costs may be different.
