International LLM and SJD Students

International LLM and SJD students should follow the outlined steps in order to successfully apply to Suffolk University.
  1. Pay Deposit
    Admitted LLM and SJD student must submit a non-refundable tuition deposit two weeks after acceptance. The deposit is $500 for LLM students and $1200 for SJD students.
  2. Submit your Bank Statement
    LLM and SJD students must complete Certificate of Finances [PDF]  and a Bank Statement to the Office of Graduate Law Programs or the Center for International Programs and Services.
  3. Obtain an Immigration Document (I-20)
    The Office of Graduate Law Programs will issue your immigration document (I-20) approximately 2-3 weeks after the bank statement has been received. The I-20 will be sent by courier service to the address listed on the application for admission.
  4. Apply for an F-1 Student Visa
    After you receive your I-20, you will be ready to apply for the F-1 Student Visa. F-1 Visa Application Instructions
