International JD Students

International J.D. students should follow these steps to move your application to Suffolk University along in the right direction.
  1. Pay Deposit
Admitted JD students must submit a non-refundable tuition deposit to reserve a place in the entering class. The non-refundable deposit is credited to the tuition bill at the time of registration.
  2. Submit your Bank Statement
JD students must complete Certificate of Finances [PDF]  and a Bank Statement to the Office of Graduate Law Programs or the Center for International Programs and Services.
  3. Obtain an Immigration Document
Suffolk University will issue your immigration document (I-20) approximately 2-3 weeks after receiving your Bank Statement and tuition deposit. The I-20 will be sent to you via courier service to the address listed on your application.
  4. Apply for an F-1 Student Visa
After you receive your I-20, you will be ready to apply for the F-1 Student Visa. F-1 Visa Application Instructions
