Housing Guarantee for Undergraduates Entering in Fall 2025
Undergraduate students entering this fall 2025 – both freshman (first time in college) and transfer – will be offered a 3-year guarantee of University-sponsored housing. Our newest residence hall is set to open in the Fall of 2026 at 101 Tremont St. and we are excited to be extending the guarantee for these from two to three years.
In order to remain eligible for the guarantee, incoming undergraduate students must deposit by May 1, 2025 and meet the returning student housing deadline for their second and third year.
Incoming freshman (first time in college) and transfer students for the Spring 2026 semester are guaranteed University-sponsored housing for the Spring 2026 semester and the following two academic years provided they deposit by January 1 and meet the returning student housing deadline for the following second and third year.
Beyond Spring 2026
The term of the undergraduate housing guarantee for those entering after Spring 2026 will be determined at a later date. However, the University remains committed to maintaining at least a two year guarantee for Incoming freshman (first time in college) who enter in Fall 2026.
Housing availability for transfer students depends on space availability in a given year.
Other Details
University-sponsored housing assignments and information about roommate(s) will be communicated in July for those entering in the fall and in January for those entering in the spring.
The returning student housing application deadline for Fall 2025 has passed. However, we may have some housing availability in 2025-2026 for students who missed the deadline or are not covered by the incoming freshman housing guarantee. If you are a current student and are interested but not already applied, please contact Residence Life & Housing at [email protected] to learn about housing availability and waitlists (if needed).
Mid-semester housing: at times, a limited number of beds may open during the weeks after the semester begins. Non-residential students (whether they would have been covered by the housing guarantee or not) may be eligible for one of these beds for the remaining part of the semester or, in some cases, the remaining academic year. Charges for such beds will be on a pro-rated basis. Students interested in this possibility should contact Residence Life & Housing at [email protected].
All students in University-sponsored housing are subject to the student handbook and the provisions of the University housing agreement.
