Applicants who are ready to commit to attending Suffolk Law, starting in either May or August 2025 may apply under the Binding Early Decision Program. Each student admitted through the Binding Early Decision Program becomes a Dean's Scholar and is guaranteed a full tuition scholarship.
Applicants who are accepted into the Binding Early Decision Program are committed to enrolling at Suffolk Law in May or August 2025.
Applicants who choose to apply through the Binding Early Decision Program may not apply to any other law school’s early binding action program. While applicants may choose to apply to other law schools through a non-binding application process prior to acceptance at Suffolk Law, all other applications must be withdrawn upon acceptance into the Suffolk Law Binding Early Decision Program. After acceptance, admitted students may not submit new applications to other law schools.
Key Dates
Dec. 1, 2024 – Application deadline. All parts of the application must be received by the Office of Law Admission.
Jan. 14, 2025 – Deposit deadline for admitted students under the Binding Early Decision Program.
Application Process
All applicants who wish to be considered for the Binding Early Decision Program must submit a completed application through LSAC by December 1, 2024. Completed applications must include all required application components, including:
- at least two letters of recommendation
- personal essay
- all undergraduate and graduate transcripts submitted through LSAC’s Credential Assembly Service
- valid test score (for LSAT takers, the November LSAT scores will be released on Nov. 29th and will be considered for Binding Early Decision.

Applications will be accepted under the Binding Early Decision Program for the Accelerated JD Program, Hybrid Online JD Program full-time or evening JD programs, and for all dual-degree programs.
Applicants who are not admitted under the Binding Early Decision Program, or who apply after the deadline, will be released from the terms of the Binding Early Decision Program Agreement. All applicants not accepted to the Binding Early Decision Program will be considered under the regular admission process.
Admission Decisions
Binding Early Decision Program candidates are evaluated using the same criteria as all other applicants, but those admitted into the program must have especially impressive academic credentials.
Applicants to this program will be notified of their decision mid-December.
Admitted applicants must submit a nonrefundable $500 seat deposit by Jan. 14, 2025, to confirm enrollment within the program. Deposit deadline extensions are not available for those admitted through the Binding Early Decision Program.
Important Policies
The Binding Early Decision Program is intended for highly qualified applicants who are ready to start their legal education at Suffolk Law. Once admitted under the Binding Early Decision Program, applicants are committed to attending Suffolk Law and must withdraw all other law school applications immediately.
Applicants admitted under the Binding Early Decision Program will be notified of the receipt of a merit-based scholarship prior to their deposit deadline. However, other financial aid awards, including loan packages, will not be determined until later in the spring.
Applicants accepted under the Binding Early Decision Program may not defer their admission.
Suffolk Law reserves the right to provide other law schools with the names of applicants admitted under the Binding Early Decision Program.
All other admissions policies and procedures must be adhered to in order to remain in the agreement.
