Honors Program

The Sawyer Business School's Honors Program challenges you to develop the knowledge and skills to become an effective leader in a global environment. Your classes will take a practical hands-on approach. You'll interact with business leaders, ranging from entrepreneurs to CEOs of multinational corporations. And you'll help local businesses and nonprofits solve real-world problems, gaining valuable, resume-building experience along the way.

Honors curricula include honors sections of required courses in the business core and many general education requirements. These and other honors courses help you customize your academic experience. The Marketing major can be completed at the honors level. You have access to:

  • Honors electives within most business majors
  • Special topics courses
  • Honors tracks within marketing major
  • Challenge Courses

Challenge Courses

You can also take one- or two-credit seminar-style courses called Honors Challenge Courses to enhance your degree, study an area of personal interest, or gain skills for your future career path. As an honors student, you’re required to take at least three credits of Challenge Courses.

Non-Honors Students

Any student who meets the GPA minimum for a course may sign up for that course through the normal registration system. Most honors courses have a 3.3 GPA requirement
