Immersive learning is at the center of the Sawyer Business School experience, and the guiding principle of our IMMERSE℠ framework. IMMERSE expands on Suffolk’s longstanding commitment to experiential education, preparing students for today’s business landscape and the complex societal challenges that impact our world.
Structured, immersion-based learning opportunities like global travel seminars, in-class and faculty-led student consulting projects, and strategic partnerships with global powerhouses like the Boston Celtics and iMotions help students develop adaptive problem-solving skills and gain vital experience collaborating with key stakeholders and communities across Boston and beyond.

The IMMERSE Blueprint synthesizes best practices and research related to innovative teaching strategies, faculty and student engagement, and partnerships. It provides a systematic and cohesive framework for implementing immersion-based learning for all graduate and undergraduate SBS students, bolstered by Suffolk’s global footprint and proximity to Boston’s nonprofit, public, and private sectors.
