About

The National Center for Public Performance (NCPP) has been at the forefront of performance measurement and management for public and nonprofit organizations since its founding in 1974. Originally established by Marc Holzer, PhD, the NCPP has evolved from a research and public service center to an innovative consulting organization dedicated to helping governments and nonprofits achieve their visions.

Our mission is to provide tailored, evidence-based consulting services that empower public sector leaders to improve performance and implement strategic initiatives that make lasting impacts. We focus on fostering a culture of accountability and transparency by helping organizations measure, assess, and enhance their performance in ways that best serve their communities and organizational goals.

Through our extensive experience in public administration, strategic communications, and policy analysis, NCPP has built a global network of scholars, practitioners, and policymakers. This network serves as the foundation for our consulting approach—bringing together leading minds and proven strategies to help our clients solve today’s most pressing challenges.

As the demands on public and nonprofit organizations continue to evolve, NCPP remains committed to providing the insight, guidance, and tools necessary for success in a rapidly changing environment. Our story is rooted in the values of public service, and we are proud to continue shaping the future with every partnership we build.
