Once the certificate/course begins, Suffolk University will not issue tuition refunds for withdrawals. However, if a student submits a written request to withdraw from the course/certificate within the first two weeks of the course start, we may offer the opportunity to begin the same (or equally priced) course/certificate at a later date.

Students should request to withdraw from the course/certificate in writing by email.

If a student is requesting a withdrawal within the first two weeks of the course but would like the opportunity to restart the course at a later date, please indicate this in the communication, and the request will be reviewed within 48 hours.

Note: If a student never logs in or stops actively participating in the course without prior written email communication to Suffolk University Professional Development, they will be removed from the course after the second week of inactivity and will forfeit the opportunity to apply the paid program fee to retake the course at a later date.

Students will be allowed one opportunity to withdraw and restart a certificate program. Students will have 1 year from the start of the term in which they entered to continue the certificate program (Example: If a student enrolls in a certificate program in September 2024 and then withdraws, the student will have until the following September to re-enroll).
