Disability as Diversity Training
The Disability as Diversity training is a Badge Program created by the ODS Team at Suffolk University that is meant to inform and prepare participants to be access allies—both to Suffolk University students and community members and throughout their day-to-day lives.
The two-part program Disability as Diversity Training includes education around different kinds of disabilities, language, models of disability, identity, ablism, allyship, interaction, and how to help.
The training is designed to give the recipient additional ways to approach their perception of access and disability and how to apply it. Participants should be prepared for reflection, education, and critical conversation.
