Accountability Sessions
Accountability Sessions offer a structured, supportive, and motivating environment. Monday through Thursday, you can join other Suffolk students to work on school projects, to study or to work on other academic related responsibilities. These sessions can enhance productivity by offering body doubling*. Many people find comfort and an ability to work when another person is engaged in similar activities at the same time.
Accountability sessions offer a space where students can be held accountable in the moment to get their work done (similar to a study hall). Accountability facilitators will help students take action on short-term academic goals, specifically starting and/or completing a homework assignment.
Our goal for you is to find a stronger sense of community and mutual support among the Suffolk population, feeling less isolated and more motivated to enhance your academic performance.
* Body doubling is a productivity technique that involves working on a task with someone else present to help keep the individual focus and stay motivated. It can be done in person or virtually, and the other person can be doing the same task or just be present.
