The First-Gen Calendar is the center’s listing of events throughout the academic year. Events include workshops and socials as well as staple programming, like our monthly First-Gen Fridays, and keynote addresses.
To celebrate students, faculty, and staff who are the first in their families to go to college, the Center for First-Generation and Educational Equity hosts a week-long series of events around November 8th, the national First-Generation Celebration Day, in honor of the signing of the Higher Education Act of 1965.

First-Gen Fridays are lunches held every first Friday of the month and are open to students as well as faculty and staff who identify as first-generation. Check out our calendar for lunch dates.
