Double Your Impact for FYSIP - Give Now!
Why FYSIP Matters
Since the founding of FYSIP in 2005, Professor Karen Blum has been the driving force behind this program’s remarkable impact. FYSIP has provided over 1,000 first-year law students with invaluable opportunities to work alongside judges in federal and state courts across Massachusetts. These transformative internships have served as a springboard, launching numerous careers in public service and the broader legal profession.
Your Gift Makes a Difference
Every donation to the Karen Frankel Blum, JD '74 First Year Summer Internship Program Fund provides:
- Essential stipends for first-year judicial interns
- Travel allowances to ensure accessibility
- Opportunities for students who might otherwise have to forgo this transformative experience
Take advantage of this opportunity to have your gift matched dollar-for-dollar up to $250,000. Help us reach our $500,000 goal to match Professor Blum's commitment to Suffolk Law students. Your generosity will open doors for talented students, honor Professor Blum’s lasting legacy, and transform the lives of future legal professionals.
The Karen Frankel Blum, JD ’74 FYSIP Fund (“the Fund”) is an endowed fund, the purpose of which is to enable the Law School to award stipends and/or travel allowances to Law students who participate in the First-Year Summer Internship Program each summer (“the Purpose”). The donor to this Fund understands that this gift and the Fund will be administered in accordance with Suffolk University’s administrative guidelines and procedures. If, in the opinion of the University, all or part of the Fund cannot at some time in the future be usefully or practically applied to the Purpose or if the Purpose cannot be achieved because of a future change in law or unforeseeable circumstances, it may be used for any related purpose which in the opinion of the University will most nearly accomplish the Purpose as established by the donor(s) who established the Fund.
