In the past, I was the type of student who cherished close connections with my peers and wanted attention from my teachers. As a smaller-sized college, Suffolk made it easier for me to adapt to the college environment and enabled me to get along with my professors on a personal level. These close relationships made it easier for me to discuss my passion, interests, and life goals.
My passion for numbers and data, and my desire to become a businessman led me to major in accounting. With the guidance and support of the accounting faculty, I was directed to multiple internship, leadership, and scholarship opportunities. I landed my first internship and was selected for one of the Big 4 accounting firms’ leadership programs for summer 2016. After learning about the Beta Alpha Psi honor society through my professors, I became more involved with my major by networking with recruiters, business professionals, and Suffolk alumni.
Without my professors’ assistance and dedication to students, I would not be where I am today. They want their students to become successful in their future career and in life.
