Karine's Suffolk Story
From the second I stepped onto this campus, Suffolk has pushed me to my greatest potential. My heart feels full, content, and motivated. Thanks to our diverse, unified campus, leadership programs, internship opportunities, and location, I have discovered not only Boston but a better version of myself. I’m only two years into my college experience, and I have been elected president of the Student Government Association for my junior year. I never imagined myself gaining the confidence to take on a challenge like this. Aside from SGA, I have taken unique trips with the Journey Leadership Program and even had the chance to rekindle my one true love—tap dancing. I also have had the privilege of working with refugees and fundraising with other local universities.
I surprise myself each and every day, but I wouldn’t be who I am without the support of my mentors and friends. The friendships I have created through my involvement on campus are indescribable. Those closest to me come from all around the world, and they never fail to bring different perspectives, cultures, and joy to the table. These lifelong brothers and sisters will always have a special place in my heart. I have Suffolk to thank for that.
No matter what your passion is or where your heart resides, just know Suffolk is the picture-perfect place to start your search for self-discovery. I thought I had my whole life figured out, but I am being introduced to all the greater things in life every day. Suffolk is home, and it really is true when they say “Once a Ram, always a Ram.”
