Earn Credit for Your Internship
At Suffolk, students can get course credit for internships in many undergraduate and graduate programs. Each department has specific requirements for their internship programs, and some majors do require completion of an internship.
Our center recommends checking your department for specific requirements. For undergraduate students, we have compiled lists of internship courses in the College of Arts and Sciences and in the Sawyer Business School:

International Student Work Authorization
In order to be eligible for CPT approval, international students must be registered in an internship course. International students are strongly encouraged to have a conversation with the International Student Services Office to make sure you fully understand the parameters of your visa status and completing an internship. Learn more about Employment Authorizations.
Students are encouraged to plan ahead when securing an internship and getting it approved by their departments. Students should begin their internship search and have their application materials prepared during the term prior to when they hope to complete the internship.
