General Business/Undeclared

At the Sawyer Business School (SBS), we’re in the business of helping you explore our wide range of academic options. We’re here to help you gain the education and experience you need to lead a successful career, no matter which of our undergraduate majors you choose to declare.

Whether you declare your major in marketing or management, accounting or finance, or any of our other majors, you’ll earn a well-rounded business education at Suffolk. Our Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) curriculum [PDF] is infused with a focus on contemporary business practices, immersive learning experiences, global perspectives, and key skills that will prove fundamental to your professional success.

As you explore our offerings, you’ll meet faculty members who will become mentors, along with the Suffolk alums, business leaders, and executives you’ll encounter in and out of the classroom.

What to Expect As You Explore Your Options

Participate in client-based projects.

The BSBA curriculum [PDF] focuses on practical, hands-on learning. Through courses designed around real-world applications, you'll build essential skills and gain practical experience. You'll connect classroom theory with actual business challenges, working on projects for notable companies.

Choose to combine majors and minors.

Business is all about decision-making. You can double-major within SBS (or pair an SBS major with one from CAS) and add a minor from SBS or CAS to forge a path that's as unique as you are. Students can also pursue an Interdisciplinary Business Studies major.

Explore the business world with Global Travel Seminars.

You can build your resume and your international network while getting an inside look at how businesses operate abroad. On a 7-10 day Global Travel Seminar, you’ll visit high-profile companies and meet their executive and management teams in countries such as Ireland, Costa Rica, China, and more.

Intern at local and global companies.

Gain invaluable hands-on experience while interning for a top employer close to campus in downtown Boston (like the Boston Celtics!) or around the world in one of the world’s financial capitals.

Navigate the business landscape.

Our Business Foundations: Navigating the fast pace business landscape course introduces students of all backgrounds to global, technology-driven business market systems, integrating Gen AI throughout its curriculum. Students explore interconnected business functions through real-time client projects for companies like Saloniki Restaurants and Lego Discovery Center.
