Sports Management Minor
The Sports Management minor is designed to present the topics of marketing, entrepreneurship, finance, economics, law, ethics, and analytics in a sports business context. It provides learners with the opportunity to build on their interdisciplinary Sawyer Business School education to understand how organizations leverage sports to build value for key stakeholders and grow their businesses. A minor in Sports Management requires the completion of 9 credits (3 classes) in Sports Management. Students minoring in Sports Management must take classes from a minimum of two departments and may not take three Sports Management classes from one department. Sports Management Minors from the College of Arts and Sciences are required to take SBS 101 and MKT 210 in addition to three courses from the program. The total requirement for CAS students will be 15 credits. A cumulative grade point average of at least 2.0 in the Sports Management minor and a cumulative grade point average of 2.0 overall must be maintained to graduate.
