Graduate Certificate in Tax Compliance & Planning

The Graduate Certificate in Tax Compliance & Planning focuses on taxation topics involving more advanced individual and entity tax compliance, including consolidated tax returns, multijurisdictional tax issues, and transactions between an entity and its owners. Courses in this certificate program also touch on personal financial planning and entity planning, inclusions and exclusions to gross income, and gift taxation compliance and planning. The tax treatments of the formation and liquidation of business entities are covered, as well.

Courses are taught by leading faculty members at the Sawyer Business School, which is ranked among the best in the world. This certificate program is designed to be completed part-time in two semesters on campus. You can continue to build on your accounting knowledge by stacking the Graduate Certificate in Tax Compliance & Planning with our Graduate Certificate in Business Analysis & Reporting, Information Systems and ControlsData Analytics, Data Management, or Financial Technology (FinTech). If you apply to the MS in Accounting degree program or another graduate business degree program, you may be able to apply the courses in this certificate program to reduce the time it will take to complete your master’s degree.
