As the founder and CEO of The Trainor Institute, Joanna leads a consulting firm dedicated to empowering small and medium-sized businesses through practical, incremental changes that drive measurable results. The firm specializes in leadership development, operational efficiency, pricing strategies, and acting as interim C-Level Officers, delivering customized solutions that align with each client’s unique goals.
Guided by her philosophy, "Always Develop Incremental Value Adds" (Always DIVA), Joanna brings over two decades of Fortune 20 business experience to her work, helping organizations transform challenges into opportunities. Her expertise spans executive coaching, team building, and creating innovative strategies for revenue generation and sustainable growth.
In her roles as interim C-Levels, Joanna drives high-level strategic initiatives, develops leadership training programs, and represents the company at industry-leading events and expos. Her work fosters collaboration and operational excellence within any industry she supports.
Joanna’s passion for education is evident in her role as an instructor at Suffolk University’s Sawyer Business School. She teaches courses in management, entrepreneurship, and creativity, designing experiential curricula that inspire students to think critically and innovate. Joanna’s contributions extend beyond the classroom—she co-chairs Suffolk’s Creativity and Innovation Committee and founded the Career Closet, an initiative providing students with professional attire in an inclusive and sustainable manner.

With years of sales, operations management and director level experience in training development and channel marketing, Trainor became senior manager at Verizon Communications in 2015, where she worked closely with development and delivery teams, and was responsible for the analysis and design of programs specific courses.
