Biography
I came to Suffolk University in 1999 to serve as the Dean of the Law School. I previously was a Professor of Law and administrator at Boston College Law School, and a Supervising Attorney and Clinical Fellow at the University of Chicago Law School. After serving as Dean (1999-2007), I was a Professor of Law at Suffolk and taught courses in Constitutional Law, Supreme Court Seminar, Negotiation, Mediation and Constitutional Justice in Schools (part of the Marshall-Brennan Program). Since 2020, I have been a Research Professor and Dean Emeritus, and my part-time teaching has been in the Marshall-Brennan Program, in which we prepare Suffolk Law students to teach Constitutional Law to Boston high school students and administer a Constitutional Law Moot Court Competition.
