Dr. George Moker’s research focuses on the creative self-efficacy of stakeholder across various contexts. His academic interests are cross-collaborative with his extensive entrepreneurial and practical experience as a founder of professional and technical startups, as well as a CPA consultant for a wide range of federally-funded, for-profit, startup research organizations, spanning across the country. He currently serves as Managing Director of a CPA consulting firm that acquired his company, with additional responsibilities of business development, designing and utilizing traditional and digital marketing techniques, leading to more than 200% increase in the government-contracting division.
George is a board member of BUILD.org, a national organization that supports at-risk middle school students’ aspiration of going to college. In addition, he formerly served on the Georgetown School Committee for nearly a decade, with six years as chairperson. He also served on numerous community organizations in various capacities.
At Suffolk University, George currently serves in six service assignments, leading the First-Year Experience Program, and co-leading the SBS career curriculum and the University’s Creativity and Innovation Steering Committee, having been a co-founder of this initiative. Over the years, George has served on 28 committees, including department, school, and university levels, as well as serving as the University’s first endowed chair.
Academically, George taught, designed, or modified 25 different courses, at all academic levels and modalities, including 9 online courses, 23 on campus courses, and one global travel seminar to Italy. As an alum, George continues to show his support of our graduates by hiring our students to full-time and internship opportunities in the areas of accounting and marketing.
