Teaching Philosophy

The role of the designer far exceeds the creation of something pleasing, something beautiful. Design is a layered dimensional pursuit. It involves a variety of steps, many taken well before “designing” can begin. Design is a process. Designers must be willing to try, willing to fail, and most importantly be willing to persevere. Success is the result of practice. Confidence is the result of success. To truly be a designer is to practice design.
