George Hom

Biography

George is a data professional with over 35+ years of experience in many different industries such as: Financials, Healthcare, Pharmaceutical, and Entertainment. Some of his job titles are: SQL and Database Developer, Database Administrator, Business Intelligence Developer, Lead Data Analyst, Lead Developer, Data Architect, and Data Governance Lead. Here is a partial list of the companies he has worked with: Fidelity Investment, State Street Bank, Dell, EMC2, Charles River Associates, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Massachusetts, Capital One, Boston Red Sox, and Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

Currently, George is the Data Architect of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and he brings his expertise in the fields of data analytics and data management to Suffolk University. He is the architect of many Enterprise Data Warehouses on premise and in the cloud for many well-known companies. By adding this very important business intelligence environment, the companies can translate a costly digital liability into a valuable digital reporting asset. Many companies have translated this into increasing revenue and reducing cost on the top and bottom lines of their financial statements based in the decision-making abilities from the data.

He has developed and designed many of the Master of Science in Business Analytics (MSBA) courses offered by the Information Systems and Operation Management department at the Sawyer Business School of Suffolk University.
