Biography
Dr. Amanda Patel’s primary research center on employee health and well-being. Specifically, she is interested in how employee health behaviors influence employees at work. Her most recent research includes the topics of physical activity and eating. She has recently published a co-authored piece in Journal of Management.
In addition to research, Amanda has consulted on the topic of employee wellness programs. Also, Amanda teaches Organizational Behavior courses. She particularly enjoys helping students to make connections between the classroom and the “real world”.
Outside of work, Amanda enjoys spending time with her family and baking. Prior to joining academia, Amanda worked as a supervisor in the Communications Department at Hays Med in Hays, KS.
