Develop a strategic approach to communication while gaining deeper insight into the intersection of branding and business through Suffolk’s Master of Arts in Communication with Integrated Marketing Communication Concentration (MAC IMC) program. Interdisciplinary by design, our program combines the fundamentals of communication, public relations, and advertising with marketing courses taught through the Sawyer Business School.

Through case studies, in-class client projects, internships, and other experiential learning opportunities, you’ll learn how to conduct market research and gather consumer insights, create dynamic social media and digital content, and devise effective communication strategies and campaigns for targeted audiences. By the time you graduate, you’ll be ready for professional success in advertising and public relations, corporate and nonprofit marketing, crisis management, awareness marketing, and so much more.

As a student in Suffolk’s MAC with Integrated Marketing Communication Concentration program, you will:

  • Learn to craft messaging and content for integrated marketing campaigns
  • Apply theoretical principles and analytics to improve an organization’s branding and visibility
  • Create effective ad copy and other content using consumer insights
  • Use social media analytics and other technologies to research and influence target audiences
  • Gain an understanding of how marketing communication interacts with broader social, cultural, and political contexts

MAC IMC Program Overview

The MAC with Integrated Marketing Communication Concentration program’s unique interdisciplinary approach gives students the opportunity to hone their communication skills and knowledge while learning business marketing principles through three Sawyer Business School graduate-level courses. Our experiential, project-based curriculum will help you build a strong foundation in marketing communication research, advertising, public relations, content creation, crisis communication, and social media; combined with Business School courses on topics such as digital marketing, international marketing, and consumer behavior, you’ll gain a ‘big picture’ understanding of how public relations, advertising, and marketing integrate to shape branding and communication strategies.
