Program Concentrations

Study data mining concepts and the use of analytics tools and methods for producing business knowledge and learn to turn that data into business insights to improve business decision-making. As part of the Business Analytics concentration, you’ll develop skills with tools such as MS Excel, Tableau, SQL and SAP Business Warehouse and learn the programming language “R” to apply your predictive analytics skills to interpret statistical data into actionable information.

Explore cloud computing services, applications, and best practices and learn how cloud computing helps users develop a global infrastructure to support organizational needs. As part of the Information Systems concentration, you’ll also cover the concepts, techniques, and tools useful for the analysis, design, and implementation of technology-oriented business information systems to support the development and invention of innovative, supportive technological systems.

Analyze and evaluate data privacy risks and management challenges facing individuals and organizational data. You’ll also learn how to design and evaluate solutions to protect the data and various data privacy regulations and then build on that knowledge with experiential learning of security technologies such as biometrics, firewalls, intrusion detection systems and cryptography systems in hands-on lab exercises to connect theory to practice.

Develop problem-solving and basic programming skills while you learn how to design, build, and optimize cross-platform mobile apps using HTML5 standards and other programming languages while gaining an understanding of the application of technology to financial services in various ways.

Learn the knowledge and skills to harness Artificial Intelligence (AI) in transforming business. Covering key areas like machine learning, natural language processing, computer vision, and robotics, this concentration blends theoretical learning with hands-on projects. You will explore how AI can enhance business analytics, automate processes, and improve decision-making, and develop AI-driven solutions, such as business bots, that address real-world challenges.
