Why Give to the Suffolk Fund?
When you give to the Suffolk Fund, you empower Suffolk with the flexibility to respond quickly to urgent needs, both current and emerging, and promote student achievement through:
- Scholarships that help students to afford their college education
- Curricular innovation that keeps pace with academic and social trends
- Technology that facilitates teaching and learning
- Library materials and facilities at the core of our academic mission
- Career-enhancing student internships and other forms of experiential learning
- Training, equipment, and travel for student-athletes as they compete in a wide array of sports
Directing Funds Where They’re Needed Most
Last year, thousands of people expressed their commitment to Suffolk by giving over one million dollars to the Suffolk Fund. While just a fraction of the University’s operating budget, Suffolk Fund dollars were directed where they were needed most and are a vital part of the University’s annual budget. As the roster of Suffolk Fund donors continues to grow, it inspires even more donors to invest generously in Suffolk’s future.
A Gift at Any Level
You may be aware of the U.S. News & World Report university rankings, but you may not know that this survey includes data on alumni giving by the institution. When you give to the Suffolk Fund at any level, you help the University to attain a higher alumni participation rate—which improves the ranking of your alma mater, helps us stay competitive with our peers, and increases the value of your degree.
Once you are ready to donate to the Suffolk Fund, you can choose to give to the University in general—or you may designate a school or college fund (e.g., Suffolk Law, the College of Arts & Sciences, or the Sawyer Business School). These gifts, collectively, are allocated to the areas of greatest need within that Suffolk unit—or within the University at large.
Your gift to the Suffolk Fund helps our students achieve their educational and professional goals, for which we are deeply grateful.
