Biography
Maria Hwang (she/her), a Suffolk alum, currently serves as the Access and Opportunity Fellow at Suffolk University Law School. She teaches Immigration Law Survey, while also working with the LPS and Diversity and Inclusion Departments. In 2016, she was selected as an Honors Attorney for the Attorney General’s Program. She continues to work as an attorney advisor at the Executive Office for Immigration Review, U.S. Department of Justice. She also serves as a volunteer attorney for the Women’s Bar Foundation’s domestic violence program. The main focuses of her career are a commitment to kindness, service, and a love of complex statutory interpretation.
