Filmmaking Summer Program for High School Students

Ready for a cinematic summer? Join Suffolk for an exhilarating two-week residential filmmaking journey. From brainstorming plots and writing a screenplay to filming and editing, you’ll return home with new technical and visual storytelling skills—plus a short film you’ll be proud to share with your biggest fans.

Filmmaking Summer Program

From July 6–18, 2025, dive into the world of moviemaking with our dynamic community of filmmakers, teachers, and VIP guest speakers and industry professionals. Here in downtown Boston—a city immortalized on the silver screen—you’ll develop your skills in directing, editing, screenwriting, sound design, camera work, and collaboration. You’ll also work with industry-standard equipment and software, see what it’s like to be part of a creative team, and have serious fun.

You don’t need prior filmmaking experience to enjoy this program, just a desire to maximize every moment of this amazing experience.
