This expedited program focuses on preparing you to apply accounting concepts and assessments of financial data to a multitude of business situations.

Complementing your accounting education with vital skills in business analytics enables you to make critical data-driven decisions which allows you to create unique value for businesses by using statistical and operations analysis. You'll be well prepared to earn elite certificates in the field’s most popular software: SAS, SAP, and Excel. You’ll also be CPA-ready! Suffolk’s Master of Science in Accounting degree meets the educational requirements for students to take the CPA exam in Massachusetts. And whether you have a career, family, or other obligations that make earning a master’s degree challenging, Suffolk is pleased to offer this dual-degree program in a part-time, fully online format.

In the MSBA portion, you will learn to use advanced software to manage, prepare, and analyze data acquired and stored in data warehouses and enterprise resource planning systems. You will understand how to leverage best practices in managing the business analytics lifecycle, from defining business opportunities to implementing solutions. What’s more, you will gain the vital data storytelling skills to turn data into business insights, and eventually into effective business decisions. Our coursework prepares you, through hands-on tutorials and projects, to use in-demand software such as Excel, Tableau, SQL, SAS, SAP, and Python, which are valued in many analytics positions.

In the MSA portion, you will take courses that integrate Becker's CPA Exam Review Course, giving you supplemental material to help you ace your classes while also preparing you for success on the CPA exam. Study with Suffolk and you’ll get the hands-on experience you need to understand the evolving regulatory, financial, and strategic challenges accountants currently face. You’ll also learn the spectrum of skills that today’s accountants need to stand out in the job market.

  • Fall Semester: July 15 (International Applicants), August 15 (Domestic Applicants), then rolling
  • Spring Semester: December 1 (International Applicants), January 4 (Domestic Applicants), then rolling; Submit your completed application by November 1 for Sawyer Business School Fellowship Employment consideration

Financial Aid for Graduate Study

Students enrolled in the Online SBS graduate programs and Online SBS Dual programs have several options to help finance their graduate studies.

Eligible students can apply for federal loan funding by completing the FAFSA at Federal Student Aid using Suffolk’s Federal School code 002218. Students can also apply for alternative loan funding.
