"Re:design" Exhibit Features Student Observations on Issues of Today
Suffolk University presents Re:design, an exhibit of capstone projects from alumni who completed the Master of Arts in Graphic Design program at the New England School of Art & Design in May 2013.
The thesis exhibit is at the University's Adams Gallery from Aug. 23 through Nov. 17, 2013, and showcases how these graphic artists respond to some of today's issues using their highly developed design and communication skills.
The interactive exhibit also offers visitors an opportunity to express their thoughts.
Graphic designers represented in the exhibit are:
- Emily Boyes-Watson
- Grace Julian Murthy
- Kevin Lin
- Michelle Pergal
- Joshua Peters
- Stephen E. Plummer
- Krista Van Guilder
- Elizabeth Barrera Yepez
The former students added to their artistic experience by working closely with Professor and Graphic Design Program Director Rita Daly to design and install an exhibit of their work over the months since graduating from Suffolk University.
A reception with the student-artists will take place from 6-9 p.m. Friday, Aug. 23.
The Adams Gallery, at 120 Tremont St., Boston, is free and open to the public from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily.
