JD First Year Students

First year JD students will be automatically enrolled in the required first term courses, once tuition has been paid. Look for emails with instruction for logging in to view your schedule. In October, you will receive information regarding registering for Spring Term.

Like the fall term, all spring courses are required – there are no electives unless you are in the Accelerated JD program. Unlike the first term, you will complete the registration process for these required classes yourself during your assigned registration time in November. Look for detailed emails giving you the dates and information you need to register on time.

To prepare for registering for 2nd year classes, all First Year students are invited to a Course Exploration Roundtable Event held in late March where detailed information is available to assist you in planning your future schedule. An online Registration Guide will be made available prior to the early April registration period.

JD Upperclass Students

Fall course registration takes place in early April. An online Registration Guide will be made available prior to the registration period. Spring term registration takes place in November. Look for detailed emails giving you the dates and information you need to register on time.

JD Transfer In Students

Students transferring in to Suffolk will have their previous courses reviewed. You will then work with the Office of Academic Services to choose and register for your first semester of courses.

LLM Students

LLM students should confer with the Assistant Dean of Graduate Law Programs to choose courses. Fall course registration takes place in early April. An online Registration Guide will be made available prior to the registration period. Spring term registration takes place in November. Look for detailed emails giving you the dates and information you need to register on time.

SJD Students
