Payroll Office

The Payroll Office makes sure all University employees—including student employees, faculty, administrative staff, and support staff—are paid promptly and accurately.

All Suffolk University employees (staff, faculty, students etc) are paid every two weeks. The pay period is two weeks long and begins on Monday and ends on Sunday. Pay checks are issued on the Friday following the end of the pay period. If payday falls on a federal holiday when the University is closed, you will receive your paycheck on the preceding workday.

For exact pay dates, download the 2023 payroll schedule [PDF].

Suffolk University has established deadlines to ensure an employee is accurately paid through the regular bi-weekly payroll processes.

Please make these changes in Workday by selecting ‘Pay’ worklet.
Under 'Actions' select either the 'Payment Elections' or 'Withholding Election's task.

Active employees can view and print W-2 Forms from Workday by searching "My Tax Documents" or from the website and using their ADP user ID and password to sign in. If you do not remember your ADP user ID or password, you can retrieve it here.

A paper Form W-2 will be mailed to your mailing address of record in the Workday or with the Registrar’s Office for students no later than January 31st.

International Students

International students who have claimed tax treaty benefits will receive Form 1042-S instead of Form W-2. Form 1042-S is generated through the Sprintax TDS online tax reporting system and is distributed to all eligible recipients on or before March 15 of each year following the year of payment. Please note that if you exceeded the treaty maximum during the calendar year, you will receive both a Form W-2 which reports your non-treaty earnings, and a Form 1042-S which reports your treaty earnings

The Employee Intranet is Live!

The intranet is designed from the ground up as a space dedicated to employees. Employees can sign into the intranet to stay informed of important information and get answers to common HR, Payroll and Information Technology questions. Also, employees can see upcoming HR events and holidays. In the case that you need to reach out to an expert for help, the new intranet makes this process easy.

You can access the employee intranet at www.suffolk.edu/intranet and enter your Suffolk University Username and Password to login.
