The mission of the Center for Global Ethics & Law in the Sawyer Business School is to advance the principles of good corporate governance and sustainability by delivering programs and conferences and facilitating teaching and research.

Consistent with this mission, the Center seeks to create a meaningful dialogue in both the public and private sectors, focusing on achieving sustainability, as defined by the United Nations Brundtland Commission: "Sustainable development is development that meets the needs of the present without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.”
