Representing the Very Best of Suffolk
Double Ram Megan Tranfaglia, BSBA ’14, MBA ’15, knows firsthand the importance of alumni engagement—both financially and as a volunteer. Since graduating from Suffolk, she has been very generous with both. As a student at Suffolk, Megan received scholarships that, she says, “ allowed me to pursue opportunities that would have otherwise been out of reach or placed a financial burden on my family.” Thanks to scholarships, Megan had significant assistance completing her undergraduate and graduate degrees as well as a study abroad program in Madrid. Additionally, she received a grant for a Global Travel Seminar to Brazil during her MBA program. Says Megan, “I also had the privilege of participating in the Journey Leadership Program, where I took leadership and improv classes at Disney's Epcot and did a student exchange program with the University of South Carolina. Giving back is deeply important to me because those opportunities shaped my path, and I want to help ensure future students have access to similar experiences.”
It will come as no surprise to those who know her that Megan made the most of her Suffolk education and has been a rising star since her undergraduate days as an Entrepreneurship major. From earning several honors and accolades as a student, to graduating Summa Cum Laude with her MBA with a concentration in international business, to being named one of Suffolk’s 2022 10 Under 10—which recognizes young alumni who are making major contributions in their field, in their communities, and to Suffolk.
Over the last nine years, Megan has built a successful career at HPE Aruba Networking and is currently focused on leading Account Based Marketing strategies for their Global / Major (Fortune 500) Accounts and US Federal sectors. In this role, she has again, found significant ways to support Suffolk, hosting multiple students at HPE through the Career Center’s Job Shadow Program and mentoring an undergraduate student in the RAM Alumni Mentoring Program. Megan also serves on Suffolk’s MBA Advisory Council, has been an Executive Judge for SBS-101 final projects, and participated as a panelist for a National Association of Women MBAs Annova event.
A Summa Society donor, Megan also knows how important philanthropy is for a university like Suffolk, whose mission is to provide access and opportunity. “My contributions help fund study abroad programs, enhance campus resources, and support financial aid initiatives, including for students facing food insecurity and for first-generation college students. These donations make a real impact in ensuring students from all walks of life can access a quality education.”
Megan is currently living in the greater Boston area with her husband, who is from Barcelona, and the couple enjoy traveling there to visit his family, as well as exploring other destinations. She is thriving in her career—continuing to learn, staying on top of industry changes, and networking and exchanging ideas with other marketing professionals. She continues to represent the very best of Suffolk—as she has done for over a decade—and her contributions to the community only continue to grow.
