Academic Calendar - Madrid

Suffolk University Madrid's Orientation is held at the beginning of each new semester, both in September and January. During this time, students meet the staff, and attend sessions on housing, transportation, money and expenses, Spanish social customs, security issues, and other topics to help them make the most of their time abroad.

Bachelor’s candidates meet with their advisors to review the requirements and electives in their major, and Suffolk’s academic principles. Students then take placement exams in English, Spanish, and mathematics to ensure proper placement.

The semester calendar is an important resource that pinpoints midterms and finals; as well as opportunities for extracurriculars, including excursions to cultural and historical sites in and around Madrid.
