Press Releases: Poll of French Voters Shows Macron Leading by 16, Blank Voters Strong (English)
Statement of Methodology: This survey of 1,094 likely May 7 voters was conducted between April 28 and May 2, 2017, excluding Labor Day, May 1. The survey was conducted by live telephone interviews of registered voters 18 years of age or older, residing in all 102 administrative departments in France. Quota and demographic information -- including region, gender, age -- were determined from the National Institute of Statistics and Economic Studies (Institut national de la statistique et des études économiques -- INSEE) which collects, produces, analyzes, and disseminates information on the French economy and society and recent election statistics. Voter sample of both standard landlines and cell phones was provided by FASTO {France} and live calls were made using a probability-proportionate-to-size method, which means that the phone numbers assigned to each area were proportional to the number of adult residents. Administrative departments were grouped into five (UDI) general regions. Live calls were executed by UPDATE FRANCE {France}, under the supervision of SUPRC. Translation of Survey from English to French was conducted by UPDATE FRANCE under the review/editing of Suffolk University faculty. The margin of sampling error for results based on the total sample is +/-3 percentage points. Error margins increase for smaller subgroups in the cross-tabulation document. All surveys may be subject to other sources of error, including but not limited to coverage error and measurement error.

Bellwethers: SUPRC Director David Paleologos, author of a proprietary bellwether predictor model, has identified the following "departments to watch" during the final vote on May 7th: Alpes-de-Haute-Provence, Saone et Loire, and Tarn-et-Garonne. These departments could serve as key indicators on the final outcome of the national vote.

Statement of Methodology: The statewide survey of 601 Puerto Rico voters was conducted March 20-31, 2013, using live telephone interviews of landline and cell phone users. The margin of error is +/- 4 percentage points at a 95% level of confidence.
