  • Has the Health Services office contacted you regarding outstanding immunization records?  If so, be sure all documents are submitted prior to registration.
  • Does the admissions office have your final high school transcript?   Any student whose final high school transcript has not been submitted yet to the Undergraduate Admissions office receives a certified letter at their home address.  All final high school transcripts must be on file.
  • You need to meet with your faculty advisor prior to registration.  The advisor must enter a registration approval code prior to your registration.  Make an appointment with your academic advisor and/or contact your major department for specific procedures for advising.  Check the academic calendar for specific advising dates at www.suffolk.edu.
  • Access Campus Cruiser, SAIL Students, and click on Registration Holds for a list of any University holds that will prevent your registration.

What happens if the course I want to register for is closed?
Plan to choose course section alternatives prior to your assigned registration time in the event any of your first choice course sections reached maximum student enrollment.  You can view updated course enrollment status on the course search.

Can I register for a course that has prerequisites?
Be mindful of course prerequisites.  If a course has a prerequisite, you must either have completed or be currently enrolled in the prerequisite course(s).

What can I do if a course I want to take is closed?
If a course has reached maximum enrollment, students may place themselves on a course waitlist.  If you would like to both waitlist and register for the same course but different sections, it must be done in the following order:  add yourself to the waitlist of the closed course and register for the alternate section of the course.

How do I know if I get into a course that I am waitlisted for?
You will receive an email at your Suffolk email address.  Watch the how to Manage Your Waitlist video through Campus Cruiser (www.suffolk.edu/campuscruiser), SAIL Students, Training Videos.
