The spring/summer 2014 issue of Salamander, a literary journal published by Suffolk University, has been released.
Salamander combines the best new work by writers now reaching artistic maturity with exciting new work by established writers.
The latest issue, guest-edited by Valerie Duff-Strautmann, features poetry by Dan Beachy-Quick, Eric McHenry, Marsha Pomerantz, Lesley Wheeler, Steven Cramer, Beth Woodcome Platow, and others.
Fiction includes “DDT,” by Alice Elliott Dark; “Miracle at Hawk’s Bay,” by Carys Davis; and “Jimmy’s Day Off,” by Joe Neal.
Reviews by Aviya Kushner, Jacob Strautmann, Jacqueline Kolosov, and Anna Ross focus on poetry collections by Shira Dentz, Mary Pinard, Ngo Tu Lap (translated by Martha Collins), and Jeffrey Pethybridge.
