You’ll learn advertising industry basics, including how to create ads and plan advertising campaigns that appeal to the target markets of industry brands and nonprofits. You’ll write ad copy and design the visual elements of ads. Then, you will study the fundamentals of media planning and buying as it applies to television, radio, print, online, and social media advertising.
Public Relations Major
You’ll begin by learning the foundations of public relations, including history, theory, trends, and practices. You’ll take courses in professional writing, digital and social media, web design, and event planning and promotion. All of this leads to your advanced courses in planning public relations campaigns for corporate or nonprofit class clients.
