The Department of Physics and Engineering offers three distinct paths for students:

Physics

Physics, the most fundamental science, is an integral part of many other disciplines, including astronomy, biology, chemistry, earth science, and engineering. Students can enroll in the major or minor in Physics, a rigorous lab-based curriculum with world-class facilities on campus at Suffolk and study abroad opportunities.

Electrical Engineering

Electrical Engineering plays a role in nearly all other disciplines. You'll learn about power generation and delivery, communications, robotics, computer applications, control, and circuit/system design. Whether you are interested in hardware, software, or firmware, this major will provide you with theoretical knowledge and hands-on experience in the engineering field.

Radiation Science

Explore a multi-faceted field that integrates physics, radiation, biology, chemistry, and mathematics. Programs in radiation science, radiation therapy, and medical dosimetry prepare students for meaningful careers in the field of cancer treatment.
