You made it to Suffolk, now make Suffolk your home! RAMventures is two unique weekends of programs designed to introduce you to a variety of opportunities available on and around Suffolk’s urban campus. Take some time to explore and make lasting connections with your peers, while stepping beyond the cobblestone streets of Beacon Hill. 

For all trips, students will travel in a group with upper-class student leaders and staff, including Orientation Leaders, Resident Assistants and Commuter Ambassadors. All Registration Fees are Non-Refundable & Space is Limited/First-Available.

Friday, September 8

All-Student Welcome-Back Bash
7:30-11:00 p.m.
20 Somerset & Sawyer Buildings

This event is the capstone to your first week of classes! Get to know the rest of Suffolk's student body as everyone comes out to celebrate and have fun. There will be a movie (TBA) on the plaza, ice cream and entertainment in the lobby, and food, drinks, DJ/dancing, and activities throughout the buildings. The event is free and all current Suffolk students are invited to come and share in the fun of being apart of Ram Nation!

Saturday, September 9

Kayaking on the Charles River RamVenture
Saturday, September 9 (Rain Date: 9/16)

Meet: Sawyer Building (8 Ashburton Place) Lobby at 9:30 a.m.
Kayak: Charles River Canoe & Kayak in Cambridge near Kendall Square

Enjoy an outing on one of the most scenic sections of urban river in the country! The nine-mile stretch of river has no current, allowing painless round trips, and you’ll be able to share the water with sailors, rowers, and paddle-boarders! Join some of your fellow Rams as we explore the Charles River, and enjoy a light lunch with your new friends.

Whale Watch RamVenture
Sunday, September 10

Meet: Sawyer Building (8 Ashburton Place) Lobby at 10:00 a.m.
Travel: Walking from Suffolk to the New England Aquarium to board the 11 a.m. whale watching cruise with Boston Harbor Cruises.

Set sail with us for the whale watch experience of a lifetime! Join your fellow Rams for an exploration of the Stellwagen Bank Marine Sanctuary, a rich feeding ground for whales, dolphins, sea birds, and other marine creatures. You’ll be accompanied on board by New England Aquarium naturalists who are always there to share their knowledge, answer questions, and explain the mysterious behaviors of some magnificent mammals!

CollegeFest @ Fenway Park RamVenture

Meet: Sawyer Building (8 Ashburton Place) Lobby at 11:00 a.m.
Travel: Students will take the MBTA Green Line together from Park Street Station to Kenmore Station and walk to Fenway Park.

CollegeFest at Fenway Park is the most heavily attended back-to-school event in New England, attracting thousands of college students each year! CollegeFest is a Boston institution featuring live music and free swag from local and national sponsors! Don’t miss your chance to see the iconic Fenway Park for free! There will be student priced Red Sox tickets, ticket giveaways and so much more!

Salem Ghost Tour RamVenture

Travel: Walking from Suffolk to the MBTA Commuter Rail North Station to board 1:30PM Shutle for Salem, Massachusetts.

Get ready to be spooked as you step foot into Massachusetts’ most haunted city - Salem! This ghost hunting and paranormal investigating tour is one of a kind. You will learn the secret history of what really happened during the Salem Witch Trials, discover shocking information about New England vampirism, and even experience some paranormal activity yourself. Every site is a proven haunted location, so join us and your fellow Rams as you may just experience something supernatural! After the tour you will have time to explore historical Salem before returning to Boston by train.

Ferry to Provincetown & Explore RamVenture

Meet: Sawyer Building (8 Ashburton Place) Lobby at 8:00 a.m.
Travel: Walking from Suffolk to the New England Aquarium, you will take a Fast Ferry across Cape Cod Bay to Provincetown (P-Town), MA and back. 

Known as the furthest point on Cape Cod, P-Town is laid-back, artsy, and easy to get too! Half the fun is getting there by way of a high-speed ferry, and upon arrival it has tons to offer. Miles of sandy beaches, shopping, and countless restaurants are awaiting to greet you as you step off the ferry and into the colorful culture that is P-Town. Climb to the top of the iconic tour which honors the Pilgrim landing in P-Town. Make some new friends while exploring a new city together!
