Cultural Kitchen After-School Program

Cultural Kitchen is an after-school program run by Hotelling International in Boston-area schools to increase cultural competency through cuisine and peer teaching. Students take turns acting as "Executive Chefs" instructing the rest of the class how to prepare a dish from their culture, and sharing background information on their heritage and traditions while cooking and eating. The final meeting provides an opportunity for celebration, presentation, and closure with a culminating activity.

They are seeking teaching assistants to help co-teach groups of 10-14 students along with the Cultural Kitchen Coordinator. The ideal candidate will have experience working with urban youth and enjoy food!
