Jazz Singer

The Student Performing Arts Program was founded in 1999 through the Dean of Students Office to provide diverse performance opportunities to Suffolk University students coming from a wide range of performance backgrounds. Whether a novice or a seasoned stage veteran, the Performing Arts Office welcomes singers, dancers, actors, musicians, and comedians to share their artistic talents with the rest of the Suffolk community. Members of our many groups not only get a chance to entertain, but also to broaden the horizons of their audience through their work. Our staff works closely with students to create new programs that address contemporary areas of artistic expression.

The performance groups administered by the Performing Arts Office are as varied as the Suffolk student body. Each of these groups are filled with dedicated individuals who possess a desire to maintain and cultivate a positive and abundant arts presence on campus. In the short time since the program's inception, it has become a vital component of student life and activities within the Suffolk community.

Our mission is to ignite and sustain a passion for the arts on campus. Opportunities for involvement include not only performing, but also directing, lighting and sound design, stage management, costume design, publicity, and more.
